Terms of Use

The plain-English terms for reading and using this site.

What this site is

Ledgerline is an independent, editorial journal about keeping a household ledger by hand. It is not a financial advisory service, and nothing on it is intended as personalized financial, legal, or tax advice for your situation. Methods described here worked for the households that wrote about them; they may not suit yours.

Using the content

You're welcome to read, link to, and quote short passages from this site with attribution back to Ledgerline. Republishing whole articles elsewhere without permission isn't allowed. Get in touch at hello@ledgerline.shop if you'd like to reprint something in full.

No sales, no guarantees

Nothing on this site is for sale, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed. References to Column Book describe a companion project in a small private trial, not a purchase, and its availability may change without notice.

Accuracy

We try to keep articles, the glossary, and the FAQ accurate and to correct mistakes when they're found, noted openly rather than edited in silently. That said, this site is written by a small volunteer-style team, not a professional advisory practice, and we can't guarantee every detail is current or applies to your circumstances.

Third-party links

Where an article references an outside idea or source, that reference is provided for context. We don't control other sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.
